Hike and bird watch in its glorious unspoiled countryside and in the breathtaking cloud forests of Benito Juarez National Forest.

Free Day or Optional Birding Tour to Cloud Forest

Exploring Oaxaca City's attractions can be an amazing and endless journey. For this reason we have set this day apart for you to enjoy all that it has to offer. If you choose to stay in town, you may visit Oaxaca's museums, art galleries, shops, and local markets. (detailed information in your guide book).

Or you may sign up for an optional guided birding tour in the cloud forest mountains (not included in the trip's fee) where you'll experience the beautiful ecosystems and unique birds of the Benito Juarez National Park.

Once we are joined together that evening you may enjoy having dinner with our group.

If you are traveling alone we will try our best to match you with another single traveler of the same gender. Otherwise we offer single accomodations for an extra fee.

 
Payment and cancellation policies

Full payment is due by January 4th, 2013.
Reservations will be confirmed once the full payment has been received.
Due to the cancellation policies of our providers, we must retain 30% of your payment if you cancel your reservation.
If you cancel less than 15 days prior to departure 100% of your payment becomes nonrefundable. If you or we are able to find a traveler to fill your space we'll refund 100% of your payment.
If Audubon does not have the minumum number of travelers necessary for this trip, the trip will have to be cancelled, and you will receive a full refund of your payment.

     Items to bring
Official ID such as your current Passport, and INAPAM ID (if you have one)

Water Bottle

Binoculars, camera, flashlight

Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrella and rain gear

Hiking sticks, insect repellent, day pack

Light-weight walking/hiking shoes

A fleece garment can be useful in case of chilly mornings

We recommend packing your binoculars, toiletries and travel documents in your day pack

A supply of resealable plastic storage bags can be handy for storing food items from the breakfast, to be used as mid-morning snacks

Be sure to bring your own kleenex and small change for bathroom fees
