Travel with us to the ancient capital of the Toltec Empire — Tula, where you will be amazed by the Atlantes, big sculpture warriors made out of stone. With our guides, explore the “Burned Palace" and the ruins of a court used for a ball game. Explore Teotihuacan one of the most important and stunning archaeological sites in the world. Admire the wonderful structures that were once painted in a bright red color; stroll along the vast Calzada de los muertos, and discover the remains of winged creatures at the Palace of the Plumed Butterfly, and enjoy the challenging climb up the Pyramid of the Moon. Join us and let yourself be transported to a Mexico of days past.
Itinerary - 2 Days
DAY 1 -
TULA
6:30 AM - Early departure from SMA
Arrive in Tula de Hidalgo and drive towards Tula Archeological site where our expert local guide will be awaiting for us to take us on a guided tour of the site and museum.
Enjoy lunch* at a nearby restaurant in downtown Tula. Continue towards Estado de Mexico and check into our hotel next to Teotihuacan Archeological site. Relax at the pool of our hotel, and later gather at the lobby to have drinks and have dinner* at the restaurant of our hotel.
DAY 2 -
TEOTIHUACAN
After early breakfast at our hotel, drive to the closest entrance of Teotihuacan Archeological site where our local expert guide will welcome our group. We'll stroll around the site as our guide explains every aspect of the history of Teotihuacan and take us to areas seldom discovered by visitors. After enjoying lunch* at a nice restaurant we'll return to our hotel to check out and then depart towards San Miguel de Allende, where we plan to arrive at 7:00 pm.
